In light of hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, Mississippi Market is temporarily allocating Positive Change donations to support disaster relief efforts being led by Cooperative Development Foundation (CDF). CDF is a nonprofit organization that supports economic development through cooperative enterprise.
100% of donations raised over the weekend – from the morning of Friday, October 13th through the evening of Sunday, October 15th – will go directly to the CDF Cooperative Disaster Recovery Fund. All donations raised will support those affected in Puerto Rico, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and the Caribbean.
Devastation left in the wake of these natural disasters has significantly impacted Puerto Rico’s vibrant and vital cooperative movement. Your donations will greatly assist in their efforts to rebuild and get up and running once again. CDF will route donations directly to cooperative businesses in need to assist their recovery efforts rebuilding farms, critical infrastructure, and more. 100% of donations will go to disaster recovery. CDF does not use disaster recovery funds to pay for any of its operating expenses or fund administrative costs.
Double your impact when shopping at Mississippi Market this weekend. All funds collected for hurricane disaster relief will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Mississippi Market for our October Positive Change recipient Dream of Wild Health.
