There’s always something new to learn about food! Mississippi Market’s education program offers a variety of classes, tours, and lectures about natural foods, co-ops, and environmental sustainability. Our class instructors are highly educated, talented, and engaging teachers eager to share their knowledge about cooking, food preserving, nutrition, gardening, and more! To learn more, read our teacher bios.
View our Classes page to view our current offerings and register online. Please make sure to note which Mississippi Market store your class is located. Classes are held at both our East 7th and West 7th store locations.
Class registrations are refundable up until 72 hours or 3 days prior to the event. If the class needs to be cancelled for any reason, you will receive a full refund and email notification at least 2 days before the class’s scheduled date.
Interested in teaching a class for Mississippi Market? Simply fill out our class proposal form. Please note that Mississippi Market classes are largely demonstration-style, not participatory classes, except where noted otherwise.
For additional education, class, or tour services information, please email Katie Marty, Education & Events Specialist, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to in-store programming, Mississippi Market provides outreach and education services in the community. Mississippi Market and other area co-ops founded Midwest Food Connection, a nonprofit organization that empowers Twin City elementary school children to make healthy and responsible food choices. Contact Midwest Food Connection to find out about bringing a lesson to your child’s school!
