Positive Change: Right to Know MN

We’re proud that our reusable bag donation program reflects our overall mission as a co-op. With Positive Change, your reusable bag credit is worth 10¢ each. Choose to keep it, or donate it to our monthly non-profit recipients. Plus, in the spirit of making a greater impact on our community, you can round up to support these organizations every time you shop! In October, your donations will go to support the work of Right to Know MN, a campaign started by concerned citizens to make the labeling of GMOs the law in Minnesota.

300 dpi RTK-MN logo&tagline greenRight To Know MN is a 501(c)4 organization established to support mandatory labeling in Minnesota of foods that contain genetically-modified organisms. The organization is volunteer-run and made up of a diverse coalition of Minnesota consumers, farmers, business owners and community organizations that have varying opinions on GMOs, but all agree that they should be labeled. Right to Know MN’s mission is to pass legislation to Label GMOs in MN.

Right to Know MN believes that everyone has the right to know whether their foods contain GMOs. GMOs have been linked to a number of environmental and health issues.

Funds raised go to outreach efforts across the State of Minnesota. Right to Know MN travels to every corner of the State to raise awareness about GMOs and the importance of transparency in our food system. Outreach efforts also support a legislative win as they activate supporters to contact their elected officials in every district in the State of Minnesota.
