Focus on Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Farms
Most CSA farms offer consumers weekly delivery of locally grown organic foods during the growing season, which usually runs from June to October in Minnesota.
CSA farms collect a subscription fee in advance from consumers who become CSA members for that growing season. Perhaps most importantly, CSA farmers offer more than fresh, delicious food: they help local residents keep closer to their food and to the people and natural systems that make up a living local farm.
Below are listed CSA farms that are suppliers to Mississippi Market Co-op and/ or make weekly drops at one or the other of our two stores. Please call or e-mail the contacts listed under each heading, or better yet, go to the farm’s web site for more detailed information. If you do elect to join a CSA, may your weekly box be laden with a fine fresh selection throughout the season!
