There’s always something new to learn about food! Mississippi Market’s education program offers a variety of classes, tours and lectures about natural foods, co-ops and environmental sustainability.
In addition to in-store programming, Mississippi Market provides outreach and education services in the community. Mississippi Market and other area co-ops founded Midwest Food Connection, a non-profit organization that empowers elementary school children to make healthy and responsible food choices. Contact Midwest Food Connection to find out about bringing a lesson to your child’s school!

Our community canning classes are always exciting!
To find out more about our classes, visit our class calendar. Interested in teaching a class for Mississippi Market? Just fill out our class proposal form. Please note that Mississippi Market classes are largely demonstration-style, not participatory classes, except where noted otherwise.
Interested in taking a tour of our stores? We offer tours for schools, places of worship and other community organizations for free! Topics include: healthy eating for kids, being a conscious consumer, “green” building features of our stores and shopping on a budget.
Need a speaker for an event? We’re happy to send one of our experts to talk about natural foods topics, being a conscious consumer, eating locally, or shopping on a budget.
For any of these services, contact Liz.
