The co-op is hosting a blood drive in partnership with Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) to help address the blood shortages in our region due to COVID-19. MBC will bring a “bloodmobile” donation bus to the parking lot of each store the week of July 5 at the following times and dates. Simply click below based on the date and store you’d like to donate at and complete your appointment registration.
Due to COVID-19 and limited space, we are asking donors to please schedule appointments. Walk-in donors may be accommodated based on capacity.
Bonus: All donors at Mississippi Market’s Blood Drive will receive a free T-shirt from Memorial Blood Centers as a thank you!
Your donation will help save lives
To limit the impact of COVID-19, MBC needs blood and platelet donors now more than ever to help strengthen our blood supply and ensure hospital patients have access to blood today and in the immediate future.
If you’re feeling healthy and well, help protect our community’s blood supply by donating at Mississippi Market’s upcoming blood drive. All blood types are urgently needed — especially B-negative.
Giving blood during COVID-19 is safe and simple
Donating is still a safe, easy process that is a vital part of community preparedness. MBC staff are trained in universal precautions to help prevent spreading germs. At each blood drive, MBC staff are practicing social distancing, and using hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for each donor. All donors, visitors and staff are required to wear a face mask or face covering. They are also asking donors to self-screen before coming in to donate. Learn more about MBC’s COVID-19 policies.
