Virtual Class – Himalayan Cooking: Samosas and Pakoras
January 21st at 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Instructor: Ishwari Rajak | Free
Location: Your Home
Registered participants will be emailed the recipe along with details to join the class via Zoom the week before the class and again as a reminder 1 hour before class begins. A link to the class recording will be sent following the class.
Join Ishwari to make samosas, a fried or baked pastry with a savory filling of potatoes, onions and peas. A popular snack, appetizer or an entrée in many parts of the world, samosas can be a perfect way to spend an evening virtually traveling to other parts of the world. You will also make Nepali-style aloo pakoras, a potato fritter-style dish, using the leftover samosa filling.
For class, you’ll just need a computer or phone to connect to Zoom. If you’d like to cook along with Ishwari, plan to have the recipe, ingredients, and cooking tools handy. The recipe and ingredient list will be emailed out 1 week in advance to allow time for shopping. All ingredients can be found at the co-op.
