Ingredients
  • 1/3cup couscousIsraeli couscous is the larger pearl shaped couscous. Moroccan couscous is the smallest type of couscous and can be cooked in just minutes!
  • 1/3cup chicken piecestuna or chicken packets
  • 1/2cup freeze dried mixed veggies
  • 1Tbsp onion flakes, dried
  • 1.5tsp chicken or veggie flavor base
  • 1/4tsp each dried thyme, sage, parsley
  • 1/4tsp dried garlic
  • pincheach salt & pepper
Instructions
  1. Store ingredients to these backpacking recipes in a quart sized Stasher bag. When on the trail, bring 1-1 ½ cups of water to a boil. When it’s ready, add the water to the bag of ingredients for about 9 minutes. At that point, turn slowly to evenly distribute the ingredients. Eat from the bag or pour into a bowl.
