Ingredients
Waffles
  • 1cup your favorite waffle mix
  • 1Tbsp. oil
  • 1Tbsp. butter
  • 1each egg
Buttermilk Chicken Brine
  • 1cup buttermilk
  • 1Tbsp. hot sauce
  • 1Tbsp. salttry a smoked salt for even more flavor!
  • 1Tbsp. pickle juice
Southern Fried Chicken Breasts
  • 1lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2cups flour
  • 1-2cups frying oil
  • 3tsp. Cajun seasoning
  • 2tsp. black pepper
  • 2tsp. garlic powder
  • 2tsp. onion powder
Additional Ingredients
  • 8slices bacon, crispy fried
  • 4over-medium eggs
  • to taste Syrupoptional
  • to taste honey butteroptional
Instructions
Buttermilk Chicken Brine
  1. In a shallow dish, combine buttermilk, pickle juice, smoked salt and hot sauce and stir.
  2. Submerge Chicken Breasts in liquid mixture and let bring for a half hour up to one hour.
Waffles
  1. Prepare waffles according to package instructions and keep in a warm place until ready to serve.
Southern Fried Chicken
  1. In a deep, large dish. Add flour and 1 teaspoon each of listed seasonings to flour.
  2. Stir flour until seasonings are well combined.
  3. Remove chicken from brine and place on a clean surface. Season chicken breasts with remaining seasonings. Set aside.
  4. In a large frying pan, fill with oil and turn heat on high.
  5. While oil is heating, coat chicken breasts with seasoned flour.
  6. Once oil begins to slightly smoke, fry chicken pieces in oil until thoroughly cooked through.
  7. Drain cooked chicken breasts until ready to assemble.
Additional Ingredients
  1. Cook your additional ingredients to your liking and set aside for assembly.
Sandwich Assembly
  1. Place your waffle on a plate and stack with your preferred toppings.
  2. Drizzle with syrup and enjoy!
