Ingredients
Lilac Simple Syrup
  • 4cup lilac petals (no stems)
  • 2cup sugar
  • 2cup water
  • 1/2Tbsp lemon juice
Lilac Lemonade
  • 1.25cup fresh squeezed lemon
  • 5cup water
  • 1cup lilac simple syrup
  • lilac ice cubes (optional)
  • lemon slices (optional)
Instructions
Lilac Simple Syrup
  1. Thoroughly wash lilac blooms and remove petals.
  2. Bring water and sugar to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes and remove from heat.
  3. Place blossoms in a shatter proof jar and pour syrup over. Cover and let sit for at least 6 hours.
  4. Strain and remove flower petals.
Lilac Lemonade
  1. If you want to garnish your lilac lemonade, make sure to plan ahead for the ice cubes to freeze overnight.
  2. In a large pitcher, mix all lemonade ingredients and add ice, taste and adjust to your sweetness, tartness preference, and garnish when ready to serve. Enjoy!
