Add marinara sauce to a small saucepan and simmer on low heat. Add chopped basil.
Break eggs in a separate bowl, and add them carefully to the marinara sauce so the yolks remain whole.
Cover the pan and simmer over low heat for 4 minutes, or until the tops of the whites are set.
Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper.
Using two bowls, add one slice of the toasted baguette to each bowl and top with the marinara sauce and eggs. Garnish with Parmesan and more fresh basil if desired.
