Ingredients
  • 1Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1cup milk of choice
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1Tbsp. semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2tsp. honey, or sweetener of choice
Instructions
  1. Mix cocoa powder and a pinch of salt in a large mug.
  2. In a microwave-safe container, mix milk and vanilla extract. Heat in microwave for 1 ½ minutes.
  3. Gradually add hot milk to cocoa mixture in mug, whisking until well blended. Add chocolate chips and whisk until melted and blended.
  4. Stir in honey or sweetener of choice.
  5. Top with marshmallows or whipped cream, if desired, and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
  • This recipe yields a rich, chocolatey drink. For a less intense chocolate flavor, reduce cocoa powder by half.
  • A thicker milk, such as whole milk, creates a creamier drink.
  • If desired, you can use all cocoa powder instead of a blend of cocoa powder + chocolate chips.
