Ingredients
Ginger Simple Syrup
  • 1cup sugar
  • 1cup water
  • 1nub ginger, freshpeeled and cut into quarters
Sparkling Ginger Pear Mocktail
  • 3oz. pear juice
  • 1/2oz. ginger simple syrupAdjust to preferred sweetness.
  • 2oz. soda water
  • 1each cinnamon stickfor garnish, optional
  • 1each star anisefor garnish, optional
  • ice
Instructions
Ginger Simple Syrup
  1. Add sugar, water, and ginger to a small pot and simmer until liquid has reduced by half.
  2. Remove from heat and cool completely. Strain into a jar or container.
Sparkling Ginger Pear Mocktail
  1. Fill glass half full with ice.
  2. Add pear juice, simple syrup, and stir.
  3. Use microplane to place a very light dusting of the cinnamon stick and star anise into the glass and stir.
  4. Top with soda water, stir and garnish with pear slices, star anise, and cinnamon stick.
