We recognize there are many causes worthy of our support, and we believe focusing our resources on a select few areas that relate to our mission has the greatest impact. When considering a potential Positive Change recipient, we look at the following criteria:

Does your organizational mission align with the co-op’s mission and current giving priorities? Priorities for upcoming Positive Changes recipients include: food access and hunger relief, social and racial justice, and local food system support.

Is your organization located in Saint Paul or the surrounding community? Priority is given to organizations in Saint Paul.

When has your organization last received a donation from Mississippi Market? Recipients are eligible once every two years.

At Mississippi Market Co-op’s discretion, the Positive Change recipient calendar may be preempted to raise emergency or disaster relief funds.

The Positive Change deadline is June 1 for the following calendar year. Applications received between now and June 1, 2026 will be considered as we plan 2027.
