Store History

Organic and natural food sales surged in the early 1990s, and Mississippi Market experienced parallel growth. Strong demand during this period enabled the co-op to expand, opening a second location in April 1999 at the corner of Selby and Dale, while the original store remained at Randolph and Fairview Avenues. The Selby location was later remodeled in 2025.
