Create Positive Change

Each time you shop at the co-op, you have a chance to directly support local nonprofits by donating your 10-cent reusable bag credits and rounding up your purchases to the nearest dollar. It may only be a few cents or spare change, but your generosity makes a huge impact — to the tune of over $10,000 each month for our Positive Change recipients!

Wildflyer Coffee is a non-profit coffee shop providing opportunities and support for youth ages 16–24 experiencing homelessness or housing instability
Their vision is bold: to end youth homelessness.

Their business model:

  • Youth experiencing housing instability are hired as baristas in Wildflyer’s coffee shops.
  • They complete a 4-month paid Work & Life Skills Training Program that teaches job skills, financial literacy, and personal development.
  • While in the program staff connect youth to stable housing, mental health support, and long-term career opportunities.

On average, 75% of youth graduate from the program, and 80% remain employed six months later.

Donations support young people in St. Paul move from surviving to thriving. Every bit of spare change adds up to wages, training, and critical support for youth working towards more stable housing and a hopeful future.
