Each time you shop at the co-op, you have a chance to directly support local nonprofits by donating your 10-cent reusable bag credits and rounding up your purchases to the nearest dollar. It may only be a few cents or spare change, but your generosity makes a huge impact — to the tune of over $10,000 each month for our Positive Change recipients!


Meet April Positive Change Recipient St. Paul Promise. 

St. Paul Promise works across education, policy, community organizations, and caregiver groups to ensure every child in the neighborhood has access to quality education, strong family support, and a safe community. Their approach supports both children and the adults in their lives, recognizing that families define themselves and come in all forms. They focus on three key areas to drive success: Community Engagement & Wellbeing, Education Initiatives, and Advocacy and Civic Engagement. 

St Paul Promise serves 250 blocks in Rondo, Frogtown, and Summit -University Neighborhoods.                       

Program Overview 

  • Early Childhood Education – Provides access to early learning programs, parent education, and developmental screenings. 
  • K-12 Academic Support – Offers after-school tutoring, summer learning programs, and mentoring to help students stay on track. 
  • Health and Wellness – Connects families with healthcare resources, mental health services, and nutrition programs. 
  • College and Career Readiness – Helps students with college applications, financial aid, and career planning. 
  • Family and Community Engagement – Strengthens family involvement and provides support networks through parent groups and community events. 

Purpose of Donations: Funds will be used to purchase materials and supplies for community impact and wellbeing programs, including food and nutrition education programming, that directly benefit children and families in the Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood.
