Create Positive Change
Each time you shop at the co-op, you have a chance to directly support local nonprofits by donating your 10-cent reusable bag credits and rounding up your purchases to the nearest dollar. It may only be a few cents or spare change, but your generosity makes a huge impact — to the tune of over $10,000 each month for our Positive Change recipients!
CLUES
September’s Positive Change recipient is CLUES. Comunidades Latinas Unidas en Servicio (CLUES) is Minnesota’s largest Latino-led nonprofit organization, founded in 1981 by and for Latinos. Their headquarters is located just three blocks from our East 7th store. CLUES is a multi-faceted, one-stop hub providing services on economic empowerment, educational enrichment, health and family well-being, and community engagement.
Positive Change Donations will support Canasta Familiar: This food distribution and services hub expanded in the Summer of 2025 to another building. CLUES serves over 45,000 people annually and continues to see a rise in participants accessing food distribution sites as food costs increase. CLUES offers free food distribution and job search services, career and certification training, financial empowerment coaching, tax processing, housing counseling, and much more.
Donations collected at the registers will be used to purchase food for the distribution site and tools for our community garden.
