Each time you shop at the co-op, you have a chance to directly support local nonprofits by donating your 10-cent reusable bag credits and rounding up your purchases to the nearest dollar. It may only be a few cents or spare change, but your generosity makes a huge impact — to the tune of over $12,000 each month for our Positive Change recipients!

Meet Feeding Frogtown

Feeding Frogtown is a neighborhood effort working to strengthen families in the Frogtown Community. The program began as a grassroots response to growing food insecurity and stepped in after two local food shelves closed. Today, Feeding Frogtown provides consistent support through weekly community meals and bi-weekly grocery distributions that help hundreds of families access fresh, healthy food.

Each week, the Feeding Frogtown Meal Meetings provide more than 1,500 prepared meals from local restaurant partners. Their Bi-Weekly Grocery Gatherings at West Minnehaha Recreation Center distribute fresh produce and staple foods to 300-500 families at a time, with additional seasonal distributions at Wilder and the Como Apartments.

Feeding Frogtown will use donations to support their meal program; paying for food and transportation of food to the six distribution sites, as well as staff support. For more information visit frogtownmn.org
