Help put food access at the top of legislators’ to-do list! This is your opportunity to meet with lawmakers, share your story, and advocate for policies that ensure all Minnesotans have access to the food they need.

I knew I wanted to learn how to talk to my legislators, but wasn’t sure where to start. This is a perfect opportunity for people like me who want to work with legislators to make a better Minnesota for everyone. They start the day with information, guide you through the process, make appointments for you, and group you with people who live in your neighborhood. It was an empowering day, and I will definitely participate again in the future. I highly recommend it! – Mississippi Market Staff member who participated in 2024

More about the Civic Engagement Series

At the Co-op, we believe that strong communities are built through informed, engaged citizens. That’s why we’re hosting Civic Engagement Sessions—a space for neighbors to come together, learn, and take action on local issues that impact us all.

These sessions provide opportunities to connect with organizations working on key community topics, from climate action and sustainability to social justice and public policy. Each session features expert insights, open discussions, and actionable steps for individuals who feel called to. No prior knowledge is required—just a willingness to listen, share, and engage with other community members.
