What to expect

  • Learn how to sew and design with the Sashiko Embroidery technique.
  • The group will learn the history of Sashiko where designing elements lead to shared  stories of community and turned them into durable wearables.
  • During the process of unpacking common and uncommon participants will work in small groups to design the symbols that represent the group and create sewing circles to share each other’s stories.
