In Person at East 7th: Urban Roots Cooking Skills Series
Each week, your Youth Intern teachers will focus on a set of fresh ingredients from the Urban Roots Youth Farm available. The Youth Interns will educate the students on the produce and its growing practices and then demonstrate the best techniques for cleaning, processing, and cooking the ingredients.
Ingredient spotlights will be released closer to the date of the class.

Urban Roots Youth Intern Teaching Team
Urban Roots, formerly Community Design Center of Minnesota, was incorporated in 1969 as a 501(c)3. Over the years, we have provided a range of community development services with a common thread of empowerment, engagement and innovation. Since 1996, Urban Roots has provided paid internships to youth on the East Side of Saint Paul. Youth interns develop leadership, entrepreneurial, and life skills through our Market Garden, Conservation, and Cook Fresh Programs. Each year, up to 75 youth interns, ages 14-24, participate in our progressive, tiered programming, connecting to one another and to the world around them.
