We recognize there are many causes worthy of our support, but feel that focusing our resources on a select few areas that relate to our mission has the greatest impact. When considering a potential Positive Change recipient, we look at the following criteria:
Does your organizational mission pertain to local and sustainable agriculture, local hunger
initiatives, nutrition education, or environmental sustainability?
Is your organization located in Saint Paul or the surrounding community? Priority is given to organizations in Saint Paul.
When has your organization last received a donation from Mississippi Market?
At Mississippi Market Co-op’s discretion, the Positive Change recipient calendar may be preempted to raise emergency or disaster relief funds.
Due to COVID-19, along with the brutal murder of George Floyd, we have delayed selecting October-December Positive Change recipients as we evaluate where funding is needed most in our community right now.
April 1st application deadline – July through December recipients chosen
September 1st application deadline – January through June recipient chosen
Positive Change applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year with bi-annual review dates. Accepted Positive Change recipients will be notified 30-60 days in advance of their Positive Change month start.
