Fried Salvadoran Plantains

Tender, crispy, and lightly golden.

  • 3 ripe plantains
  • 2 Tbsp canola oil
  1. Cut each plantain into two halves, then slice each half into three slices lengthwise.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Gently lay plantain strips into hot oil and fry lightly for 3-5 minutes on each side or until browned.
