- 1 bunch asparagus
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 pinch ground pepper
- 1 tsp Parmesan cheese, freshly grated (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
- Snap the woody ends off the asparagus (usually about 1 1/2 inches). Lay the asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil and roll to coat.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Roast the asparagus for 4-5 minutes, then flip the spears.
- Roast until tender, about 4-5 more minutes
- Serve warm or at room temperature. Sprinkle with parmesan, if desired.
