Ingredients
Tea Infused Oatmeal
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1.75 cup water
- pinch salt
- 2 teabags any variety of black or green tea you like!
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- honey or maple syrup optional
- seasonal fresh fruit Door County Cherries or blood oranges are great options
Meringue
- 2 egg whites*
- sprinkle salt
- 1/4 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp sugar

Tea Infused Oatmeal
- Bring water to boil in a pot with tea bags. Be mindful of the steeping time for the tea. The should steep in the water somewhere from 3-5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and add oatmeal when water boils.
- Cook until oats are done and the oatmeal has a thick consistency.
- Mix in vanilla.
- Serve warm. Top with meringue and fresh fruit.
Meringue
- Whip egg whites* until foamy. Approximately 30 seconds to one minute. Note: Any yolk whatsoever will make this not work. And make sure the bowl is very clean and cool.
- Add salt and lemon juice and begin whipping again.
- Slowly add sugar.
- Continue whipping until stiff peaks form and the mixture is thick and glossy.
