What’s Changing at Selby?

For over 25 years, our Selby store has been a part of the Rondo community. Much of the store still runs on its original, outdated equipment. The freezers, coolers, and fixtures are decades old, are inefficient, and often require repair. Our deli kitchen is still set up for full production, even though that work moved to our central kitchen when East 7th opened in 2015. This summer, we’re beginning a major remodel to bring the store up to date. The changes will free up more retail space, improve energy efficiency, and make it easier for staff to serve you, ensuring the store continues to meet the needs of the community for years to come

We’re excited to share that the remodel will:

  • Give more space to our refrigerated grocery, packaged grocery, cheese, bakery, and bread departments
  • Move the bulk department to the front of the store
  • Add self-checkout lanes for greater convenience
  • Upgrade store equipment and lighting to improve energy efficiency

We’ll stay open throughout construction, completing the work in carefully planned phases beginning in July and wrapping up by the end of October, to minimize disruptions. Check back here for the latest updates as they become available.

We’re committed to creating a more efficient and enjoyable co-op for everyone. Thank you for your patience and support as we make these exciting improvements!
