This sticky cherry bourbon glaze complements any meat you want to throw on the grill, whether you’re in the mood for chicken, pork chops, or a juicy steak.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup bourbon or whiskey
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. garlic, minced
- 3-5 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1/2 pound fresh cherries, pitted/halved
- 2 tsp. black pepper

- Incorporate all ingredients except cherries and bring to a boil. Allow to simmer over medium-high heat for 5 minutes and then add the cherries to the pot.
- Continue to simmer until the sauce reduces slightly and the pectin from the cherries thickens the sauce so that it coats the back of a spoon.
- Taste the sauce and season to taste with salt. Remove the fresh thyme sprigs and brush over your favorite grilled meats!
