- 1 lb green beans, washed & trimmed
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup dates, chopped
- 1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 pinch salt, to taste
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and green beans and cook 3-5 minutes.
- Add walnuts, dates, and cayenne until the nuts are slightly toasted and beans are heated through, about 3-4 more minutes.
- Season to taste with salt and serve.
