- 1 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 3 cups sweet cherries, pitted
- 1/2 -1 tsp powdered sugar for garnish

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 10-inch oven-going skillet or six 6- to 8-ounce ramekins with the softened butter; set aside. In a blender, combine eggs, granulated sugar, milk, flour, almond extract, and salt. Blend until smooth.
- Arrange cherries in the prepared skillet. Carefully pour batter over berries. Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F and bake for 25 to 30 minutes more (20 to 25 minutes more for ramekins) or until filling is set and top is golden brown.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
