Jess Toliver is a holistic chef and owner of Jess Delicious. Her experience with lifelong food sensitivities led her to develop a passion for health and wellness. After graduating culinary school and working in restaurants for many years, Jess started her personal chef business to connect with the people she is cooking for on a more intimate level. Her business also came from a desire to choose the food she was working with — food that is both delicious and nutritious. She enjoys her time spent teaching people new recipes and better eating habits, cooking healthful meals for families, and helping plan for special events.

Introducing the Eat More Plants Class Series

There are many reasons to eat more plants. Eating a diet filled with more plants is better for the environment, is more compassionate toward animals and includes numerous health benefits. From lowering your risk for heart disease to increasing your energy, the health benefits of a mostly plant-filled diet can be plentiful.

The Eat More Plants class series is here to show you that eating plants can be both easier than you think and delicious. You don’t have to feel like you’re missing out or depriving yourself of your favorite foods. A plant-based diet is vast and, especially in recent years, abundant with many great meat and dairy alternatives. In this series, we will acquire delicious new recipes to incorporate into weekly meal plans and learn easy substitutes to use in place of animal products.

Eating a plant-based diet doesn’t need to happen overnight. You can start by slowly making small adjustments over time or begin by simply incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your diet. You might choose to start by eating one vegetarian or vegan meal each week. Over time, it might become one meal a day, and before you know it, you could be choosing to eat mostly plants without even thinking about it. No matter where you are on your plant-based journey, this series is here to help! Sign up for classes on our events page.
