Fresh Forecast

The cool and damp spring meant delayed planting and harvest times, but we’re now hearing that lots of vegetables are almost ready, and that there will be plenty to go around!  Here’s a sample of what to look for in the coming weeks, all locally grown:

Asparagus
Green top radishes
Baby spinach and arugula
Spring mix salad greens
Cilantro & baby bok choy
Garlic scapes

Plus, there’s plenty of organic summer fruit available! Peaches, nectarines, cherries, cantaloupe & Charentais melon, watermelon, green & red grapes – all now available, with new varieties showing up every day.  Picnic planning should be a breeze.

Remember, if there’s anything you’d like to try, just ask a produce team member, and we’ll be happy to cut a sample for you!
