Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup whole rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup pecans (optional)

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and white and brown sugars. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Fold in the mashed banana.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder, then fold that into the wet mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  4. Spread into the prepared pan and bake 25 minutes, until set. Cool before cutting into squares.
